Oliver Patrick Lind

                 Oliver Patrick Lind, 9 years old of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.  Oliver was born in Carbondale, Illinois, on September 29, 2012.  He was the son of Dustin and Taylor Lind.  He was a student at Washington Elementary School and was in Mr. Randolph’s 4th grade class.

Oliver Patrick loved to talk and was very social with everyone he met.  He enjoyed playing with the kids in the neighborhood.  He enjoyed riding his bike, playing video games and watching Anime with his bubby, Sebastian.  He was always a picky eater but when he discovered something he liked he would eat a lot of it.  He loved turkey, grapes, mandarin oranges, and bananas. He was a sweet natured soul with a love for people and animals, including his many cats.  He was starting to learn how to play the piano but was easily distracted by other playtime.  He had a fun spirit and was a true joy to all that knew him.  Oliver's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. 

He leaves behind his parents, Dustin and Taylor and his big brother, Sebastian; along with other close family members and friends.

There will be a time of visitation for family and friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M., at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home located at 1702 W. Boulevard Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.

Due to Oliver’s love of marine animals, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to oceana.org., in lieu of flowers.
